Summary
Motivation / Need: Specific machinery models, as each machine has slightly different characteristics so there is a need for customizing the theoretical model according to real energy consumption data.
Application Area: Applicable to production planning and machine set-up.
Solution Concept: This module is able to simulate in a very accurate way the operation of a Milling machine and predict time and energy usage amongst others.
Partners have expressed their interest in commercializing the Milling Machine simulator module, as well as using it both internally and to provide external consultancy services.
