Summary
Motivation / Need: The growing environmental consciousness worldwide has led to legislative pressures (EuP Directive) and it is highly probable that tool machines will be subjected to energy efficiency regulations and classifications in the years to come. However, a universal method of capturing and interpreting the resource and energy consumption is not yet available.
Application Area: Applicable to production planning.
Solution Concept: This module is designed to monitor energy consumption and other process generated outputs of the Milling process, and exporting them in a standardized format.
Partners have expressed interest in commercializing the Milling monitoring system, as well as using it both internally and to provide external consultancy services.
