    Manufacturing the products of the future
    Comment: The LD solution can inprove the workflow, data sharing and analysis in the mannufacturing areas significantly, as shown during the evaluation of the LD demonstrator "Metrology-driven Manufacturing in the Automobile Industry". The data harvesting and analysis methods developed within the project become more and more importand due to increasing complexety of the manufactured products and the involved processes.
      Complex structures, geometries and scale
      Comment: The increasing production valumes as well as the ever increasing demants on car body parts in terms of safety, weight and geometry leeds the initally mentioned complex processes. Thus, LD can help to optimize the necessary production processes.
    Economic sustainability
    Comment: The developed solution aims directly at reducing the scrape rate and increasing production precizion / part quality. The goal wpould be to reach a zero-defect process by data harvesting of historc data.
    Within the project, a life cycle costs optimization of industrial system is performed, combining it with life cycle environmental impacts and building a multi-objective optimization
    Environmental sustainability
    Comment: Within the project, a life cycle environmental impacts optimization of industrial system is performed, combining it with life cycle costs and building a multi-objective optimization. Since the hot forming process is used to produce light weight car body parts, the improvement of this process by the LD solutions influences the possibilities of increasing the resource efficiency of the cars.
      Waste minimisation
      Comment: This is the main goal of the application of the LD solution in the "Metrology-driven Manufacturing in the Automobile Industry".
      Towards circular ecomomy
      Comment: When the scrape rate in processes is reduced the resources are used more efficiently what is the goal of the solution.
