Summary
A novel waterjet cutting head has been developed which is expected to double cutting speeds. In conjunction with a new positioning system, it will increase accuracy and reduce scrap. It will also reduce set-up time and improve throughput.
A waterjet fixturing system has also been developed to increase grate-life and reduce the amount of grating thrown away.
