New Minimum Quantity Lubricant TI Machining Technology

New Minimum Quantity Lubricant TI Machining Technology
Summary
“Dry machining” or the use of MQL (Minimum Quantity Lubricant) technology is a novel approach in the Aeronautic Titanium machining. The most diffused coolant technology regarding the machining of the Ti parts is the use of high pressure-high quantity of coolant due to the high temperature produced during the cutting process. The particularity of the profiles parts allows the use of the Dry Machining as an important evolution towards the ecological machining of the Titanium without reducing the productivity
