Summary
CONVERGING will promote the use of new equipment and technology for checking/working inside the fuel tanks. Robotic resources will be used for the checks and some of the repairs to reduce the necessary precautions and complete the work more efficiently. The robot sensors along with data analytics and decision-making algorithms will detect damages and recognize their type, location, and size. Anomaly detection methods will be used to identify possible FOD, which the operator can review, and report for repair or label the situation as not problematic.
