2nd International Workshop on Process Management in the AI era

IBM Research – Israel is chairing the second International Workshop on Process Management in the AI era (PMAI2023) to be held at the prestigious IJCAI2023 conference, on August 19, 2023. This workshop aims at bringing together researchers from different research disciplines to promote the synergy between AI and process management.

IBM will present the work “Why are my pizzas late?”, a collaboration between the University of Eindhoven (TUE) and IBM in the scope of the AUTO-TWIN project. Inspired by the toy story in the AUTO-TWIN project, this abstract suggests augmenting process discovery with causal process discovery to generate causal-process-execution narratives.

These narratives serve as input for large language models to derive sound and human-interpretable explanations. A multi-layered knowledge-graph, part of the evolving infrastructure in AutoTwin, is employed to facilitate diverse process views.
