The CREMA platform objectives align closely with those that Tenneco are seeking to acquire by allowing assets on the shop floor to be connected to and be virtualized exposing shop-floor data to be analysed and optimised. The ultimate goal is to improve the plant efficiency and make working practices easier to implement and monitor. By virtualising the resources of Tenneco, more detailed analysis can be conducted and methods to optimise process design can be developed.
Valuable efficiency and machine status data from the production processes coupled with data from legacy systems and positional data from key production assets will provide greater insight into the plant efficiency and ultimately highlight and therefore eliminate production issues. These features are incorporated in the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and the Cloud Manufacturing Services that CREMA will bring to the shop floor.
