Knowledge to integrate robot machining at companies

Within COMET 8 demonstrator cells were setup and used for the R&D and demonstration activities. Two robot integrators involved, SIR SpA (Italy) and Gizelis Robotics (Greece) have extensive knowledge on how to setup robot cells and integrate a complete manufacturing solution for robot machining purposes. The exploitable result, their gained knowledge, is accessible by getting in contact with them for future robot cell designs. Robot integrators are the key in successful implementation: they merge the different technologies together into a working platform for the machining job at hand. Integrators bring the robot, part handling, metrology, machining equipment and software control together to deliver a turn-key fully functional robot cell.
