Training material on using robots for machining

All the technical work packages generated a lot of knowledge and one way of returning some of this knowledge back to the European manufacturing community was through the organisation of training seminars across Europe. For the training seminars four training modules were developed covering the major research topics and results from COMET. Three successful events were organised in Athens (Greece), Liverpool (UK) and Modena (Italy). After the informative presentations, a live robot machining demonstration was conducted in the one of the COMET demonstration cells. This provided a unique opportunity for attendees, to ask questions and have further discussions with project partners about what the future might hold for machining with robots. People attending included end-users, researchers, robotmanufacturers and journalists.
