MiE_25-27_RP01: Sustainable value network resilience and competitiveness through robust and flexible production technologies
Comment:

The health crisis has highlighted the weaknesses in our society, revealing the limitations of our production models and the capacity of both the country and businesses to respond systematically to unexpected situations. Production systems and supply chains need to become more resilient to handle:

  • At “macro” level, the unpredictable and rapidly changing social, technological, economic, and environmental challenges. They must also be adaptable to shifting market demands.
  • At “micro” level, the differences in quality and composition in raw materials, so that process parameters must be optimized for the different types of input to the manufacturing process
MiE_25-27_RP03: Recovering and preserving the European leadership in strategic and high value added products
Comment:

Design an open and inclusive productive system by promoting:

  • collaborative and interconnected models,
  • cross-disciplinary and open research infrastructures,
  • access to new technologies towards a society 5.0,
  • and the innovation of processes, products, and services, to support regional intelligence and human capital.
MiE_25-27_RP10: Data spaces and cloud/edge solutions for responsive and robust manufacturing
Comment:

Manufacturing data spaces with standardized and open data formats

MiE_25-27_RP13: Augmentation of human capabilities for inclusive and socially sustainable manufacturing
MiE_25-27_RP13b: Cognitive augmentation of human capabilities for inclusive and socially sustainable manufacturing
Comment:

Integrate machine and human labor in mass-customization contexts

  • in a synergistic environment, transitioning from virtual to real-world applications emphasizing key aspects like quality of life, creativity, and the production of high-quality personalized goods.
  • Product differentiation and customization must originate from automated facilities and not be "handmade" addressing to industry instead of craftsmanship.
