Validation of Life Cycle Cost (LCC) analysis integrated with Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) simulation and Repair Decision Support System RDSS
Summary

Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) analysis outputs will feed the LCC calculation tools to properly calculate the overall system cost over its lifespan taking correctly into account the recurring costs connected to R&M issues (such as costs of part failures and repairs). The results will be then used to feed the Repair Decision Support System (RDSS) to select the most cost-effective Repair strategies (among Corrective Maintenance - CM, Preventive Maintenance - PM, Predictive Maintenance - PdM,) for the machines proposed. The selected repair strategies will be the ones that minimise the overall LCC.
