Validation of residual useful life (RUL) prediction of components/machines based on CNC control internal signal processing
Summary
The developed of prediction algorithms and condition monitoring strategies will be applied to machines tools available to the end-users. Different strategies and algorithms will be compared regarding their performance to detect the failure mode and time, together with the associated confidence of prediction. The models needed for the RUL prediction will be created from given mechanical data of the Demonstrator machines and from additional Measurements of the machine structures. The developed algorithms will be implemented on the Machine Controls and the needed Sensors for the RUL Prediction will be installed on the machines. Furthermore the machine control is modified so that all control internal data needed becomes available to the RUL Estimation System. The internal and external data will be fed to a data aggregation platform inside the machine control which serves as a data provider for the RUL prediction implementation.
