Summary
The demonstrator shown on Automatica Fair 2014 at IPA booth consists of following components:
- ABB dual arm robot FRIDA with an additional pan tilt camera unit (overview)
- mobile platform with Z-adaption
- compliant light weight grippers with adapted camera module (WLAN data transmission)
- teach-in handle for demonstration of assembly sequences
Features:
- Tracking processes for intuitive learning of robot movements (demonstration by the worker)
- Assembly task is formulated on a semantic level
- Automatic code transformation using a database with assembly skills
- Closed loop testing of workflow in simulation or real robot system
- Compensation of deviations by force feedback, vision control or compliance elements
