Summary
The most relevant component of the automation system architecture is the CNC, to execute the machining of the Borealis part, which includes also a PLC, to coordinate the execution of other components of the automation system, and an interface providing functionalities to manage the pat production process and monitoirng. It includes also the vision system to analyse the process execution and provide information to the CAx system and a CAD/CAM/CAPP to generate the deposition program, splitting it into several layers for the CNC and to analyse the machining feedback provided by the vision system so to generate the execution strategy.
