Multifunctional rubber panels for the reduction of vibro-acoustics transmission loss and fire-retardant properties in the construction sector
Summary

GREEN-LOOP will demonstrate the manufacturing of multifunctional rubber panels for the reduction of vibro-acoustics transmission loss and fire-retardant properties in the construction sector.

The product will be made of recyclable thermoplastics and elastomers. Bio-based raw materials will be lignin and natural rubber.

The rubber pads will be first validated at laboratory scale; once the most suitable sustainable materials combination will be selected, representative samples will be manufactured to be integrated into real conditions test of fire resistance and seismic response to be demonstrated under relevant industrial conditions.

The MANUFACTURE INNOVATION will be based on ULTRASOUNDS.

Characterization and standardization activities will be undertaken and the whole value chain will be monitored by the environmental and circularity partners, that will ensure the green manufacture.

This value chain could be replicated in other sectors such as transport, automotive and marine transport trimming.
