The concepts and solutions being developed within the SatisFactory project are being implemented in real-life factory environments in order to assess validate and evaluate their actual performances. SUNLIGHT, one of the three industrial pilot demonstrators of the SatisFactory project's results, constitutes a global player in the field of integrated energy solutions, specializing in the development, production and marketing of batteries and energy storage systems for industrial, advanced technology and consumer applications. The company currently has four production lines and seven assembly lines in operation for the manufacturing of various types of batteries used in a wide range of applications. For the SatisFactory project, two of the assembly lines have been involved where various manual and automatic actions take place that transform the raw materials and components to a fully functional ready to use product. The Use Cases that are being examined within the SUNLIGHT pilot area include: 1) Real-time support activities: - Lead Acid production lines (unexpected failures) - Engineering department (real-time information) 2) Event and Incident logging - Lead Acid production lines (interaction between actors) - Engineering department (failure restoration) 3) Learning environment - Lead Acid production lines (fast training of employees) - Engineering department (fast and effective training of the technicians)
