Summary
The Product/Service discovery and recommendation engine supports discovering the most suitable sub-products as well as services enhancing the complex product. During the process of complex product specification, PSDR assists users at different steps of this process, through recommending the most suitable products and/or services, while considering two aspects as input for recommendation. On one hand PSDR considers those features already entered about the complex product by the user into the system, and on the other hand it considers the past preferences of the user, gathered gradually within its profile.
Expected value: The Product/Service Discovery & Recommendation Engine is a powerful asset for enhancing the users experience and reducing user/system interac-tion time in the process of specification and discovery of sub-products as well as the services enhancing the complex product. As such the functionality provided by the PSDR enhances the product specification tool (PST) and the service specification tool (SST).
