Summary
This demonstrator is cover and housing with good mechanical resistance and adequate dimensional requirements.
Such part is subject to different kinds of defects (lamination, cold shots, flash, incomplete casting) with a scrap customary rate of lamination and cold shots of 6-7%. Thanks to achievements of the MUSIC project the expected scrap rate will be reduced from 6-7% to 1-1,15% thus obtaining the creation of a lost value of 45.000€/year.
