Summary
The main objective of this work was the determination of the best configuration and the best functional settings of the white’R island. The best production strategy is computed online; thus, the island performances are optimized during the production cycle. This online optimization is based on the production requirements as well as on the status of the island itself. Both these aspects rely on the capability of continuously capturing information from the working environment.
