Robot for Measuring Fibre Angles on complex 3D pre-form parts

Summary
A robotic system is equipped with a fibre-angle measurement sensor. This sensor provides a dense mapping for fibre angles within a a grid size of about 50um in a field of view of about 40cm². The robot guides the sensor along an automatically generated path and records images during motion, so that the whole part is covered. The single images are then mapped to the 3D model of the part, so that the final result is 3D model with fibre angles at each position.
