MEGAROB PROTOTYPE

MEGAROB PROTOTYPE
Summary
This is a full scale MEGAROB prototype, to test the complete functionalities of the concept. This prototype covers a workspace of 20x6x3 meters, and it is used to mill, drill and 3D metrology inspection of several parts from different industrial sectors. The first parts to be tested were a composite beam bridge from the partner Acciona Infraestructuras, and a Wind Mill blade. In both cases composite material milling, cutting and polishing were performed. This prototype is be available since November 2015 in Aitiip Centro Tecnológico (Spain), in order to support industries, to use the advantages of the high accuracy manufacturing for large components.
