VIRTUAL DEMONSTRATION IN LASER PROCESSING AND SOLAR ENERGY FIELDS

Summary
The virtual demonstrator of white’R comprehends all the island design aspects, from the mechanics, the electronics, the automation to the process and production logics and the optimization techniques. The integrated solution is analyzed, tested and validated against a number of indicators such as functional indicators, dynamic indicators, Sustainability indicators, Lifecycle indicators. white’R virtual demonstrations took place during the general assembly meeting in SUPSI. The system that was demonstrated is capable of detection and recognition of different types of components, estimation of components’ position and orientation, as well as check for components’ integrity. For the diodes assembly demonstration, the robot is equipped with end effectors that can pick up and place the components of the diode. In order to obtain the final product the white’R cell built at the end of the project will integrate the wire bonder, the optic bonder and the soldering stations. For the solar panels assembly demonstration, the robot’s end effectors can pick and place the solar cell components and weld the wire onto the solar cell components obtaining the final product.
