Hybrid Process Model (HPM)

Hybrid Process Model (HPM)
Summary
The Hybrid Process Model (HPM) consists of a process engineering and a logistics part. The logistic part of the plant is built by a grid of connected conveyors and switches as well as a repository for bottles. A five-axis-robot is used for the commissioning of the bottles. The process engineering part incorporates a processing workstation and two filling stations. Within the workstation, different process steps (heating, circulation etc.) can be applied to a fluid and it can be pumped to the filling station for further filling into bottles together with different synthetic granules. The HPM is the heart of the Industry 4.0 demonstrator network “myJoghurt”, which is utilized by a number of German universities for research in this field.
