Bosch Environment HoP2

The HoP2-Environment concists of an intelligent workbench that supports workers in assembling different variants and product families of hydraulic valves. The workbench is build up modular from mechatronic objects that offer a self-description and implementation of a specific process to allow an easy plug-and-produce integration into the production system. Through this concept the workbench can easily be adapted to new products or variants by integrating newly required processes, removing unnecessary ones and allowing an efficient and fast reprogramming of production flows. The benefits for the users are a massive reduction of planning effort, because of having the chance to adapt to unforeseen requirements. Further, the production planners on shopfloor level are enabled to program new products without the need for support by machine suppliers. This allows a much faster reaction to changing needs. As another benefit the requirements towards the know how of the workers are reduced by using a worker guidance system that instructs the worker even through new and unknown products which makes working an the intelligent workbench very comfortable.

During the project the workbench will be built up and equipped with different kinds of mechatronic objects to enable a production of exemplary products. Engineering tools and a worker guidance system will be developed and integrated by project partners to reach versatility and reduce the engineering effort required in today's solutions.
